ACCREDITATION AND APPROVALS


This “Institution is approved by the California State Approving Agency to enroll veterans
and other eligible persons”.  American College of Forensic Studies is recognized,
authorized and approved by the following organizations:

        National Polygraph Association
        California State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation
        Bureau of Security & Investigative Services
        Bureau of Private Postsecondary & Vocational Education


FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT

The college occupies approximately 2500-square feet of space. Comprised of
classrooms and administrative offices and lounge. Additional space is available if needed.

Classrooms are equipped with hook-ups for IBM compatible computers, calculators, tape
recorders/players, VCR, DVD, television, private investigation equipment, written
materials, CD-ROMs, DVDs, videos, software, and polygraph instruments.  


HISTORY

The College was developed in 2002, although the foundation for its existence, was laid over 30-years ago.


PHILOSOPHY

Since 9-11, the need for trained professionals is even more important! Those who wish to harm us, are challenging the very fabric of our
society and we must be prepared to constantly strive for diligent preparedness. Throughout our years as educators, American College of
Forensic Studies believes that people committed to improving themselves, by changing or enhancing their careers, will accomplish their
goals and improve their self worth, by acquiring new skills and securing a better future for themselves.
American College of Forensic Studies provides a pleasant and stimulating learning atmosphere for each student. Our faculty is chosen for
their intellectual abilities and real-life professional experiences from within their career fields in which they teach.

American College of Forensic Studies exists for one purpose: To provide the basic skills necessary for our graduates to secure entry-level
employment.

Instruction is based on the belief that, “Learning-by-Doing”, along with a curriculum of comprehensive lectures, and by creating an
atmosphere as close to the, “real world” as possible, will be of greater benefit to the student(s).  Our instructional methods respond to the
current needs of the industries for which we teach, by giving our students instructional discipline and preparing our graduates with the kind
of skills and “work ethic” that is needed today to secure employment.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of American College of Forensic Studies is to create superior vocational training through:

        Employing qualified faculty and staff.
        Generating a curriculum that exhibits the needs of the professional communities served.
        Using modern equipment and teaching techniques.
        Sustaining close relationships with potential and current employers of our graduates.
        Consecutive participation in national, state, and local professional organizations.

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION

American College of Forensic Studies accepts as regular students, those who are being vocationally rehabilitated.  Whether it is through a
private rehabilitation agency, state agency and/or federal agency. The Admissions office will assist if necessary, in the application process
with the student’s vocational planning counselor and must be notified by as soon as possible, when approval has been obtained.
