Welcome to American College of Forensic Studies!

Words from our Dean of Academics

Forensic

The definition of forensic, according to Webster’s Dictionary, is the specializing in
or having to do with the application of scientific knowledge to legal matters as in the
investigation of a crime.

Philosophy

Since 9-11 the need for trained professionals is even more important. The fabric of our society is being challenged by those who
wish to harm us. We must be prepared to strive for perfection. Our curriculum is comprised of traditional Private investigation courses
coupled with the latest in Forensic Sciences, such as Forensic Psychophysiology, Questioned documents, History of Forensic
Sciences, Practical Aspects of DNA, Crime Scene Investigation Collection of Fiber and Hair Evidence, and Toxicology-Rules of
Evidence.

Although we realize that our course in forensic studies is not going to make our students a forensic scientist, knowledge of forensic
applications and how they are applied to investigative work, is invaluable. Our job is to produce the most qualified graduates who can
make the transition to the workplace.

Today’s job seekers must constantly represent themselves as a professional. They face a competitive and challenging business
world.  Only persons who are confident and knowledgeable will be hired. Once a student realizes that they are in a highly competitive
field where only the professional will survive and that there is no job without proper training, he/she will be more willing to study and
acquire the skills necessary to compete in today’s economy.

Our graduates are uniquely qualified to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving economic environment, thereby positioning
themselves at the forefront of new opportunities.

We have an open door policy and recommend students continue attending class when possible. This ensures they will maintain their
skill level and allow them the opportunity to review the latest innovations Having a  small class size allows us to provide individualized
attention to each student.

We invite everyone to visit our school, talk to a counselor, and observe our dedication to providing quality education.
